We are reinventing the brownie category, and our president, Chimene Ross, is the driving force behind that sentiment.  

 "We are building a brand that owns the gourmet brownie space," Chimene said.  

While other brands dabble in various confections, Killer Brownie® focuses exclusively on creating gourmet brownies. Let's Get Retail Ready! 

In the beginning, we packaged products for retail-ready by hand. One of the first retail-ready programs packaged this way was the assorted trays, ordered by our partner, Dorothy Lane Market. At the time, we were in a 1,000-square-foot room, and it took 20 people to package the orders.  

“It was a family affair,” Chimene remembered fondly. “We grabbed all of our kids and their friends, and we all placed tiny brownie bites on trays!” 

In 2016, we had our first extensive retail program, and on the first day, we packaged nearly 700 cases. It took 40 people to make it happen. We meticulously packed every brownie and applied each label by hand; it was a labor of love and dedication. When we moved to a larger building in 2020, our packaging process became more automated, allowing us to package more brownies quickly and efficiently.  

Today, we package brownies with a mix of manual and automated processes. In 2022, we added our first robot to the packaging line to help stack pallets, and we plan to add a second in early 2024. We ship thousands of pallets to retailers across N. America and our advancements in our packaging processes have allowed us to improve how we serve our customers while adding value and ease to our employees and their roles within the company.
